Aberfeldy Watermill Bookshop, Gallery & Cafe is a three-storey former oatmeal mill in the picturesque Highland Perthshire town of Aberfeldy. The Watermill was opened in 2005 by Michael Palin. In 2009 we were awarded UK Independent Bookshop of the Year and in 2016, included in the New Yorker book of 75 Greatest Bookstores in the World.

As the home of world-renowned Caithness Glass, visitors can enjoy watching the skilled craftsmen at work, before meandering around our Gift Shop, Garden Centre, Art and Antique Areas and Highland Drover’s Exhibition.

You will also receive a warm welcome in our spacious, family-friendly Restaurant.

Scone Palace has an exciting and colourful history as one of Scotland's most important stately homes. Fifteen hundred years ago it was the capital of the Picts. In the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce.The Palace houses an outstanding collection of antiques, paintings and rare artefacts.

Glenturret Distillery was known as The Famous Grouse Experience for several years (hence the large copper grouse statue that you see in some of our gallery of pictures). The distillery is now proudly going by the Glenturret name which was first established in 1875. Prior to 1875, the distillery was called "The Hosh" which doesn't sound like the best name for a premium malt whisky brand.
